It was great to see that TRS offered the same room amenities and cleanliness as before, and they did not drop their standard there.
The greek restaurant in the Adults only area by the main pool was also still serving high quality food and service, which I was also delighted to see. “I honestly have zero negative things to say about Hotel Bardo. My wife and I booked this hotel for our anniversary this year and it surpassed our high expectations. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the outdoor shower and pool were an excellent touch. The main central pool is a huge selling point as well (I don't think the pictures do it justice), as it's surrounded by greenery and you can order food or drinks from the water.
Overall, the hotel has a very romantic atmosphere. You could bring children here if you wanted to, however almost all the guests were couples looking for a more intimate atmosphere. It's also set in away from the noise of the town and hotel zone, making it a very tranquil experience. I didn't hear a sound when trying to fall asleep. The location also provides an easy drive to the Tulum ruins or beach (both about 15 minutes).
Don't forget about the hotel restaurant! The food and drinks there were just as good as the well-known ones in the hotel zone, if not better. Lastly, the hotel service was great from start to finish.
