Cervinia in the northwest of Italy is a great destination for skiing during the winter months and hiking in the summer. Breuil Cervinia with its neighbouring resort of Zermatt is amongst the best ski resorts in Europe and one of the highest ones in the Alps.
Undoubtedly, staying in Cervinia in Italy is more affordable than Zermatt in Switzerland. There are a variety of reasonably-priced, family-run hotels in the town centre as well as amazing luxury chalets with spas and world-class service such as the five-star Grand Hotel Cervino with a quality restaurant.
There are also some good hotels and lodges on the slopes above the town centre for easy ski-in/ski-out access.

Chalet Matterhorn Francois
A luxury modern ski chalet with a spa, equipped with a hot tub and sauna, Chalet Matterhorn Francois is located only a walking distance from the town centre and the lifts.
This rustic chalet has four bedrooms, offering a unique and cosy stay with a delicious breakfast.

White Angel Hotel
An elegant 4-star ski-in/ski-out hotel on the slopes above the resort, White Angel Hotel offers stunning views of the Alps. The hotel has a quality restaurant and ski storage. Guests can use the spa, wellness centre and sauna at an extra cost.

La Cresta Chalet
Located right on the slopes, La Cresta Chalet is one of the best places to stay to stay in Cervinia for an easy ski-in/ski-out. This modern stylish chalet offers a free spa, sauna and fitness centre. A sweet and savoury breakfast is offered every morning, which includes hot drinks, croissants and cold meats.

Hotel Meublé Mon Rêve
A cosy rustic ski-in/ski-out 4-star hotel on the slopes, Meublé Mon Rêve offers spacious rooms and a cosy bar with evening entertainment. It also has free a shuttle service to and from town at any time.
The hotel was built in 2009 using locally-sourced materials from the Aosta Valley and all 25 rooms are decorated with wooden furnishings.
Guest Reviews: “The staff are super friendly. Breakfast was continental with lots of choices and the fresh fruit was a bonus. It is intermediate level ski to door and a good 20-minute walk down to town and uphill back, the staff are always happy to give lifts in the Hotel van anytime if you are feeling weary from skiing all day! A lovely gesture was a breakfast bag for our early morning pick-up on departure day. There was plenty of hot water and our room had lots of storage, the Wifi isn't great in the bedrooms but in the downstairs communal areas, it works better. There is an Apres Bar next to the hotel which plays music in the afternoon until about 6 pm and didn't disturb us, it may if you want to nap late afternoon and you are on that side of the hotel. Didn't hear other people in the other rooms but we were probably lucky not to have noisy neighbours. Overall a great stay and would recommend this hotel.” - Janey, February 2022.
Hotel Punta Maquignaz
Offering ski-to-door access from the Campetto Cretas slopes, the Punta Maquignaz is one of the best hotels in Breuil-Cervinia. It has a sauna and Turkish bath. The original hotel was built in the 50s, but it was fully refurbished in 1998 and 2004.
Guest Reviews: “Lovely, friendly hotel. 3 mins walk from the boot room to the lifts. Rooms are a decent size, with typical skiing decor. The bar & dining area is a little more quirky & individual. The staffs in the restaurant are wonderful. They spoke very little English & we spoke even less Italian, but nothing was a bother. We stayed on a half-board basis, so glad we did as the food was really good & plentiful. Even for me who needs a gluten-free diet, there was no problem accommodating. The Hermitage Relais is indeed one of the best ski hotels in the Alps, offering celebrity treatment with world-class service. All rooms in this 5-star hotel have a private balcony with mountain views. Guests can use the spa with an indoor heated pool.
Guest Reviews: “Having been blessed with many travelling adventures I can confidently say that Hermitage is, without doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. They thoroughly deserve each and every one of their stars! The rooms are spacious and throughout the hotel, it is spotlessly clean. The food is delicious and there are so many extra touches (the shuttle to and from the town, the heated lockers for storing ski equipment, etc) that set the hotel apart from it’s rivals.
We travelled as a family of four and the Italian hospitality towards both adults and children was exceptional. Special mention should go to Eduardo, Cosimo & Luca who leave you feeling as if no request is too much when dining as their attention to detail is exceptional. All staff ensure you are never rushed and all are happy, polite and eager to lend a hand at all times.

Hotel Miravidi
At the foot of the slopes with stunning views of the Matterhorn in a quiet and unique area of Cervinia, you will find the Miravidi, a typical alpine mountain chalet. It is only 200 yards from the Campetto and Certaz chairlifts, offering skiing to and from the doorstep.

Aux Pieds du Roi - Suite & Spa
A lovely modern ski-in/ski-out hotel in the centre of Cervinia, the Aux Pieds du Roi has a spa centre and hot tub, offering massage treatments. It is only 200 yards from the Cretaz lift. The property also offers grocery delivery and packed lunches.

Hotel Bucaneve
An elegant mountain-style 4-start hotel in the centre of the town, the Bucaneve has a beautifully decorated spa and swimming pool. It is situated in the centre of town and a walking distance from the ski lifts. All 20 rooms are individually decorated in the traditional Alpine style.
